Dieppe is in a ideal destination for those who want to spent quiet holidays, but not in a lonely boring place. Dieppe is a dynamic small city, with many execellent restaurants, it is the first time that we had no bad experience, we ate in 10 places or so, lunches and dinners and it was always delicious (especially Quai 11, Le comptoir a Huitres, Le bistrot des Barrieres). The port is also economically very dynamic, freight docs, fishermen fleet, commercial port with daily connection with New Heavens in UK. For history lovers there is the castle to visit and the Memorial of the Jubilee allied operation in August 1942. Dieppe is situated 1 hour from Rouen, the capital of the departement, with many boutiques, restaurants, historical down town, for those who need to escape to a bigger city. Definitely I recommend.
